Webinar: Entlarvung der Mythen zur ETF-Liquidität
A lot of attention is paid to the topic of liquidity in the investment industry, but there are still a lot of misunderstandings.
Given the extraordinary times we live in today and the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on investment behavior, understanding the liquidity of ETFs has never been more important. In this 45-minute webinar, we debunk a number of long-standing misconceptions that exist about the liquidity of ETFs and the likes of which are heard over and over from opinion leaders in the investment industry.
At the outset, we will deal with the basic structure of ETFs (what is invested in, how is trading, etc.), because that is the first thing to look out for when analyzing a product’s liquidity. Then we will go into a little more detail on some elements that are often overlooked and which are nevertheless of essential importance for the liquidity of ETFs: Who are the market makers on the exchange? Or, and this is critically important, what are the underlying assets that the ETF invests in and that are bought and sold in the primary market.
This webinar gives investors a better understanding of what liquidity means within an ETF structure. In addition, investors learn what to look out for when liquidating their investments if the stock market liquidity may not be representative of the actual liquidity, which is often the case, especially in times of market stress.
